Fix Hugh Moore Bridge, Mayor Tells County
Bridge connecting Glendon to Hugh Moore Park has been closed since June.
Easton Mayor Sal Panto says Northampton County needs to do its part to repair the bridge leading from the borough of Glendon into the city-owned Hugh Moore Park.
That's according to the Express-Times, which reported on the mayor's comments last week.
The bridge was shut down by the county in June after failing an inspection.
It hasn't been a great couple of years for the bridges at the park. The city has already spent $1.4 million to fix the bridge connecting the park to Lehigh Drive in West Easton.
That bridge was closed to drivers and pedestrians last year after a structural flaw was discovered.
