Son Steals From Mom, Then Asks Her For Bail, Police Say

Easton resident Randy Ross accused of forging checks to access his mother's account.

An Easton man is accused of stealing $3,200 from his mother's bank account, then calling her to ask for bail money.

That's according to the Express-Times, which says Randy Ross, of the 500 block of Pardee Street, forged two checks in June and July in order to access the money from his mother's account at a Palmer Township Wells Fargo.

The newspaper notes that after Ross' arrest, his mother contacted police and said her son asked for bail money.

Ross is charged with two counts each of forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property, according to court documents. He was sent to Northampton County Prison after being unable to post bail.
