Resident Fends Off Masked Home Invaders, Police Say

Easton police say South Side resident was able to fend off two men in Sunday break-in attempt.

Easton police say two masked men—one of whom might have been carrying a shotgun—tried to break into a South Side home early Sunday.

According to police, the men tried to force their way into the home on the 600 block of Charles Street around 1:49 a.m.

Police say the resident who reported the attempt was able to keep the men out of the home, and they ran off.

Police offered this description of the robbers:

  • One black man, wearing a black mask and a dark hoodie, holding a long gun that may have been a shotgun.
  • Another man, also black, wearing a mask and a gray hoodie.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Piperato at 610-250-6667 or the police tip line at 610-250-6635.

It was not immediately clear if the attempted break-in was related to a pair of robberies over the weekend
