Man Stabbed Several Times, Police Say
Victim tells police he was a random target in stabbing at Elder and Pine streets.
Easton police say a man was stabbed several times in the city Monday night, although investigators say he hasn't been helpful in finding his attackers.
According to police, the man told investigators it was a random attack, with three black men stabbing him near Elder and Pine Streets around 9:30 p.m.
The man told police the men were all between 5 feet-10 and 6 feet tall.
We are still attempting to verify where this occurred and had limited cooperation from the victim which is obviously slowing the investigation," Lt. Matthew Gerould said in an e-mail Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Gerould told the Express-Times there were inconsistencies in the man's story, with him changing the location of the attack.
This isn't the summer's first stabbing in Easton. In June, a woman was stabbed by two other women in the parking lot of Champ's Corner in what police say was a revenge attack ordered by a man against his ex-girlfriend.
