School District Questions Boy's Abduction Story

Easton police report that a 7-year-old boy said he managed to get away from a man who tried to grab him Tuesday morning as he walked to school.

But Easton area school officials issued a statement late Tuesday afternoon, saying an investigation found the threat wasn't credible. 

The boy told police he was walking in the 1100 block of Pine Street on his way to Paxinosa Elementary when the man grabbed his backpack and his shoulders.

According to police, the boy was able to escape and may have injured the man in the process.
