Raising the 9/11 Memorial Flag at Sigal Museum

The 9/11 Memorial Flag -- a large 22’ by 32’ flag -- is comprised of nearly 3,000 American flags representing
each victim of the tragedy at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Flight
93 site. Flag raising ceremony will be held Tuesday, August 20, starting at 2:30 pm at the Sigal Museum. It contains flags representing the service organizations that
participated in the recovery and rescue efforts and national flags from all
countries that lost citizens.
The flag will be on display during regular museum hours 8/20 through 9/20, free with general admission.  Free viewing on September 11 as well.
The public is welcome to join in this tribute started by ordinary citizen Tom McBrien of Upper Black Eddy to
promote healing for our nation and to support American troops in the war
against terrorism.
It is sponsored by Brown Lynch American Legion Post #9 and the Northampton County Historical & Genealogy Society.
