Community Corner

2nd Annual Greater Easton Open Golf Scramble

Whether you live on College Hill, Downtown, in the West Ward or South Side in Easton, there are community organizations working hard to help improve your neighborhood. This tournament’s proceeds will benefit Easton Main Street, the West Ward Neighborhood Partnership, South Side Civic Organization and the College Hill Neighborhood Association.

The Greater Easton Open is an opportunity to support these organizations while having fun at one of our area golf courses.

About the Golf

In this second annual event, The GEO will be a 4-person scramble event, with a shot-gun start.  This means that each 4-person team will hit a shot, the team will go to the best shot result at which point all 4 golfers will hit another shot from there until the ball is in the hole.

This format allows golfers of all abilities to compete together in a fun format.

But if you are not a golfer and still want to support the event, you can do so in two ways.

Non-Golfer Support – The Post Event Luncheon

The first is a yummy option of purchasing a luncheon ticket for the noon lunch after the golf competition.  This promises to not only be a delectable gathering, but will also feature a number of door prizes from local merchants supporting the event and a few surprises along the way.  Beer will also be provided at the luncheon (to of-age adults of course.)  A luncheon ticket is only $20, but you will need to register before August 22nd. You can register for the luncheon by clicking here

Become a Sponsor

The second way to support the event is to be a sponsor.  Sponsorships range from $30 to $1,000, and are crucial to the success of this fund raising event. You can become a sponsor on line by clicking here.

For additional information about sponsorships, playing or attending the luncheon, just send an e-mail to geo@eastonchna.org and we'll send you an information packet.
