Kishi Bashi to Perform in Easton

Singer-songerwriter Kishi Bashi's debut made NPR's list of "best music of 2012 (so far)."

Kishi Bashi, a rising star in the indie music world, will give a concert Saturday, Sept. 19 in Easton.

"Kishi Bashi" is the stage name of singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter K Ishibashi, who has played with acclaimed artists such as Sondre Lerche, of Montreal and Regina Spektor.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. at the , and is presented by .

“We are very excited to bring Kishi Bashi to downtown Easton.  He is a top notch artist, creating amazing music, and gaining a huge national audience.  This kind of show is a perfect addition to our Distinctive Music Series, and a great night of music,” Mercantile co-owner Ron Morris said in a news release.

Bashi's first album, 151A, recieved positive press from Spin magazineand has been named the “best music of 2012 (so far)” by NPR’s All Music Considered.
