Art Show Goes 'To the Edge of Awkward'

Also this weekend in Easton: jazz night at the Lafayette, Billy Joel/Elton John tribute at the State Theatre.

The Arts Community of Easton's gallery at the Quadrant has moved from shocking to "awkward." In February, ACE held its first show at the new, experimental gallery, focusing on works that were often more extreme than what you'd find at most gallery shows. On Saturday at noon, ACE will debut its new show, "At the Edge of Awkward," a show made up of "fiber arts with a leaning towards the awkward." Saturday's show runs from noon to 4 p.m., and runs until April 27. There will be studio tours April 13 and 14. Also happening this weekend:

5 Things to Do in Easton This Weekend

Mark Russell at the State Theatre, two egg hunts, and more...

Easter's not until next weekend, but that doesn't mean it's too early for your kids to hunt for Easter eggs. They'll get two chances this weekend: first on Satuday at 3 p.m. at Richards Field at Easton Area High School. The hunt—sponsored by the high school baseball team—is open to all children up to grade four. Then on Sunday, the city of Easton sponsors its annual egg hunt at Cottingham Stadium. That hunt—for kids 4 to 7—will begin at 11:30 a.m., rain or shine. You can also learn how to dye Easter eggs with natural ingredients Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bachmann Publick House.
