Winter Storm Nemo: How Much Snow Will We Get?

Easton is preparing for a storm that bring 3 to 5 inches of snow today into Saturday morning

A winter storm will hit the Northeast and New England today into Saturday and Easton could get 3 to 5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. That forecast is a downgraded version of what was released this morning, when the city was predicted to get nearly a foot of snow. On Friday afternoon -- when the forecast seemed more dire -- the city of Easton declared a snow emergency effective at 8 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m. Saturday.  Residents who live along the city's snow emergency routes can park in the Pine Street garage for free during those hours. Easton Braces for Winter Storm Nemo

Events cancelled around Easton as storm that could bring "hazardous" travel approaches.

Some forecasts say three to six inches. Others say 10 to 16. But they all agree on one thing: we're likely to get snow Friday, and traveling could be treacherous, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a winter storm warning for Northampton County. The NWS says it's possible will see three to five inches of snow during the day in Easton, and then another five to nine Friday evening, when the "potentially dangerous portion of the storm" will arrive. The forecast also means several events around the city have been postponed or cancelled. Easton Area parents don't need to worry about school being cancelled.
