Silent Movies Return to State Theatre
Maryland orchestra will provide soundtrack to silent films at the State April 22.
For the first time in more than 80 years, silent movies are heading back to Easton's State Theatre. The Peacherine Ragtime Orchestra, based in College Park, Md., will provide the soundtrack to three silent films Sunday, April 22 at the State. The movies are: According to the State Theatre, the orchestra will follow the movies with music by Scott Joplin and other artists from the ragtime era.
