Rep. Bob Freeman Named a 2011 'Legislative Hero'
Keystone Progress honors Freeman and 19 other state lawmakers
The man who represents Easton in Harrisburg has been named one of Pennsylvania’s 2011 Legislative Heroes by a liberal advocacy group. PoliticsPa reports that state Rep. Bob Freeman is among 20 Democrats honored by Keystone Progress for their work on health care, unemployment compensation, the environment, voting rights, education and more. Keystone Progress will honor the lawmakers in February at the annual Pennsylvania Progressive Summit, to be held this year in Philadelphia. Freeman was among a handful of legislators who voted against the Castle Doctrine, which condones an individual's right to use a gun or other deadly force in self defense outside a person's home or business. A Hero "REALLY?" He voted against law abiding citizen being allow to protect themselves in places they are allowed to be. How can voting for criminals make him a hero. He also voted for illegal aliens. Y'all had better put "Z" in front of that, instead of a "H".   more ›
