Easton man accused of punching girlfriend, who police say needed stitches.
A woman with a large gash on her head ran about eight blocks to Easton Hospital early Wednesday after her boyfriend punched her, court records say. Police have charged her boyfriend, Gary P. Fehr, 43, of 1348 Ferry St., Easton, with simple assault and harassment by physical contact. A criminal complaint filed by city Patrolman Jeffrey Crosson said police received a call from the hospital emergency room about an assault victim. The complaint lists the time as 2:19am. Crosson talked to the woman in the emergency room. She said her boyfriend – Fehr – had punched her in the head, causing her to hit her head on a front-porch railing. Easton resident Tyler Grays accused of threatening a man in Bethlehem.
A man brandishing a silver and black pocket knife in a Bethlehem neighborhood ran toward another man while yelling “I’m gonna poke you,” prompting the other man to jump into his girlfriend’s car for protection, court records say. Tyler James Grays, 22, of Easton then kicked the rear driver’s side door, causing a 12-inch-to-15-inch dent and $600 in damage, the records say. The records do not say what may have prompted the incident at 3 p.m. Tuesday on the 1300 block of Eastwood Road in Marvine-Pembroke. West Easton man charged with assault after allegedly fighting with police.
A West Easton man is accused of punching a fellow patron at Drinky’s on Centre Square and then fighting with the Easton police officers who ultimately detained him early Sunday morning, according to court papers. Steven Matthew Repsher, 24, of 91 Main St., caused “significant” injuries to Easton Officer Eric Siegfried’s ankle and finger when he fought him and other officers who were arresting him in the southeast quadrant of Centre Square, according to the arrest warrant. Easton police responded to Drinky’s at about 1 a.m. after Repsher allegedly punched another patron in the face, causing a laceration, court papers say. Cordaro Stonewall accused of attacking two different men, according to Easton police.
A man who was involved in two assaults three weeks apart was carrying brass knuckles when he was arrested, according to Easton police. Cordaro Leon Stonewall, 21, of 1312 Northampton St., is charged with simple assault, harassment, burglary and possessing a prohibited or offensive weapon. According to court records, Stonewall went to a home on S. 13th Street Tuesday afternoon, struck the man living there, and knocked him unconcious. Police said a witness saw Stonewall get into a white van and drive off. He was arrested Wednesday on the 1200 block of Spruce Street, at which time police allegedly found the brass knuckles. Easton resident Robert John Vandever charged with Palmer Township assault.
A man is accused of punching his wife in the face inside a Palmer Township bar Friday night and then fleeing in his mother-in-law’s vehicle without permission, court records say. Police say the alleged assault by suspect Robert John Vandever, 32, of Easton occurred at Rip Van Winkles pub, which is at the Bar-Don Lanes, 3700 Nicholas St. Police arrived shortly after 11pm and were told a man fled in a green Jeep without the owner’s permission. Township Officer John Smoke says in a criminal complaint that he spoke to Stephanie Vandever, who said her husband just assaulted her inside the bar. Glen Loebsack, 44, charged with assault at Union Street home.
An Easton man has been charged with hitting his girlfriend in the head with a lamp on Christmas Day while she slept and then repeatedly punching her in the head when she woke up. An arrest warrant was approved later Christmas Day for Glen Loebsack, 44. He was arraigned Wednesday night on charges of simple assault and harassment and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail. When city Patrolman Jeffrey Pellegrino arrived at Loebsack’s residence – 150 S. Easton police say a man broke into a downtown residence and attacked a girl.
Easton police are looking for a man who assaulted a 13-year-old girl Wednesday. According to police, the man broke into a residence in the 200 block of S. Fifth Street and attacked the girl. Police said the only description they had for the man was that he was skinny, in his 20s and wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call Det. Man accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend and her daughter at their Wilson home is the subject of a federal investigation into his immigration status, according to court records.
A man charged with breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home in Wilson about a year ago and assaulting the woman and her daughter is the subject of a federal investigation into his immigration status, court records say. The records for Alejandro Rincon, 23, include an immigration detainer from the Department of Homeland Security out of Florida. It says the department has started an investigation of whether he is “subject to removal from the United States.” The records say Rincon was born on Christmas Day in Veracruz, Mexico, and that he will need an interpreter for his preliminary hearing. A warrant was issued for the arrest of an Easton man who faces assault and terroristic threats charges after police were called Sunday to a report of a burglary in progress. City police said they responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 1011 Northampton Street at 9:47 p.m. Sunday and the burglars were allegedly armed. The 39-year-old victim reportedly escaped unharmed. Officers searched the area but couldn't locate the armed burglars. One of the suspects was identified as Humberto Lopez, 22, with a last known address of 1011 Northampton Street -- he is believed to be a recent roomate of the victim, police said. Stephen Allegar jailed on assault charges.
An Easton man was jailed Tuesday night on charges that he choked his wife and threatened to kill her. City police said Stephen Allegar, 40, of 607 Walnut St., Apt. D, attacked his wife April Decker at around 9:44 p.m. Tuesday. Allegar was taken into custody following a call to his apartment. Police say witnesses saw him choking Decker. He is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and reckless endangerment. Allegar was arraigned in Bethlehem before on-call District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
