I've been to Drinky's a few times in the past few months, and have seen them make a lot of changes. New lights and a new DJ booth on their club side. Admittedly I don't venture to the club side too often, I prefer the pub side, which opens up the street with a walk up bar.
Bartenders are nice, and on slow nights will come up and chat with you in between drinks. Obviously, the busier nights like Fridays and Saturdays make that a little more difficult.
They have a nice list of specials ranging throughout the week, and a "car bomb club" where you swap out the Jameson in an Irish Car bomb for whatever liquor would be from another respective country. (America-Jack Daniels, Japan- Sake, etc...). That's not really up my alley, but I was told you get a t-shirt if you finish the twenty something car bombs. (Not in the same night either, I was assured. You can space it out.)
The one thing I was surprised at was the bouncer/door-man at the front door. I came down the past few nights in a row and found the same guy at the door all three nights. While he was strict with the dress code, and made sure to check patrons that were coming from other establishments, he did great everyone, and would regularly hold the door open for people as they entered the bar.
The food is OK, pub grub mostly. Try the wings with a mixture of Cajun and Old Bay seasoning, it was recommended to me by one of the staff. Definitely a solid win with those and some ranch dressing.
