Sample Greek Food, Free Museums Saturday in Easton

After last week's insanely busy schedule, this weekend in Easton seems comparatively quiet.

That doesn't mean there aren't things to do. Here are some of the highlights.

1. Annunciation Church in Wilson holds its fall Greek Festival all weekend at 20th Street and Hay Terrace. The festival runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Satuday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. There will be Greek dance groups performing all weekend, and a lot of traditional homemade food and pastries. 
2. Gypsy jazz legends Titi Bamberger and Dallas Vietty perform Saturday at 9 p.m. at Black & Blue.
3. Safe Harbor holds its annual toy boat regatta at Penn Pump Park in Palmer Township Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
4. The Christopher Dean Band, joined by Maria Woodford, plays Friday evening at 7:30 as part of Easton Main Street's Live in the Square series. 
5. The kids of Easton's School of Rock may have been born after the heyday of MTV's Unplugged series. But that doesn't mean they can't play its music. They'll do just that at Rivals this weekend, with shows Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.
6. The National Canal Museum celebrates Smithsonian Magazine's Museums Live! day with free admission all day Saturday, as well as $5 tickets for the canal boat ride. 
7. The free museum program also applies to Easton's Sigal Museum, but you'll need to print out a ticket to do so. Visit smithsonianmag.com/museumday.
8. Kids can learn about the ancient Germanic folk-art called Fraktur Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Sigal Musuem. It's free, but call to register at 610-253-1222.
   
9. The Nurture Nature Center holds one of its Science on a Sphere shows Saturday at noon. Learn how hurricanes are formed, and see visualizations of storms like Sandy and Irene.
