Writer's Group, Middle School Meetings Ahead This Week
A look at what's happening this week in Easton.
Good morning everyone. A new week is almost upon us, so let's see what the next few days have to offer.
1. Easton City Council meets Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. Other city meetings this week include the Ethics Board, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday and the Board of Health at 6 p.m. Thursday. All meetings take place on the sixth floor of city hall.
2. Are you a frustrated novelist? A new group called Writers Block is meeting twice this week in Easton: Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Stiltskin's and Thursday at 7 p.m. at Batuque. It's $10 per session. Email jasonbabaz@gmail.com for more information.
3. If your New Year resolution was to get more exercise, the LINCS center in Wilson can help, with Jazzercise classes Jan. 9-14. You can also check out yoga classes Thursday at Lift, at 52 N. 2nd St. in Easton.
4. Parents of next year's seventh graders at Easton Area Middle School can find out more about their children's curriculum Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a meeting with school officials.
5. The Easton Area Middle School's 5th and 6th grade PTA meets Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the school library.
