Little River Band, City Budget Ahead This Week

Our weekly look at what's happening in Easton.

Good morning, everyone. A new week is almost here, so let's take a look at what's happening in Easton over the next few days.

1. Easton Mayor Sal Panto will present the city's 2014 budget Tuesday at 6 p.m. at city hall. The mayor has said he's hoping to avoid a tax increase, but needs to find a way to close a $1.6 million budget gap.

2. The Little River Band plays Thursday at 8 p.m. at the State Theatre. Tickets are $45-$50, and can be purchased at the theater box office, by calling 1-800-999-STATE or 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org.

3. The city planning commission meets Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.

4. Is your child between 14 and 20 and interested in a career in medicine? Easton Hospital's Exploring program offers kids a chance at real workplace experiences. It begins Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the hospital. To register, contact Lynn Harrison at 610-465-8580 or lynn.harrison@scouting.org   

5. Author John Searles will talk about his latest book, Help for the Haunted, Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Easton Area Public Library's Catherine Drake Meeting Room.
