Library Changes, Movies in the Park Ahead This Week

A look at what's happening this week in Easton.

The Easton Area Public Library is now connected to its counterparts in Bethlehem and Allentown, meaning you can borrow from those libraries and have your items delivered to Easton five days a week.

Starting Monday, the library will institute some changes to go with the new system.

First off, there are new limits on materials. You can have out 50 books and magazines, 10 DVDs, videos and playaway views, 10 music CDs, 10 audio books and video games at a time. You're allowed two renewals per items.

There are new overdue charges as well: It will cost you 20 cents per day for print materials and CDs, $1 per day for videos and DVDs, and a $10 maximum fine per item. To maintain your library privileges, you'll need to have a total fines of less than $10.
