Burger Joe to Hold Mark Werkheiser Fundraiser

Wilson's Burger Joe's hamburger joint will hold daylong fundraiser for the family of homicide victim Mark Werkheiser.

If you eat at on Saturday, you'll be serving a good cause.

The newcomer hamburger joint will hold a fundraiser from noon to 8 p.m. to raise money for the children of , the Williams Township man shot to death in March at his home.

Werkheiser left behind two sons and two daughters, all students in the Wilson Area School District. Since then, a number of people have launched fundraisers to benefit.

"I'm here in Wilson and a lot of people come in here who went to school with him," said Joe Conicelli, owner of Burger Joe's.

With that in mind, Conicelli said he looked around to see "what we could do to help out." He'll donate a portion of the day's profits to the Werkheiser family.

Earlier this week, -- the mother of those four children -- had her formal arraignment in Northampton County Court on homicide charges. Prosecutors have said they will seek the death penalty against her.
