Phillipsburg Football Fans Urged to Use 13th Street Exit Thursday
Bridge commission says Route 22 project could tie up normal exit route for P'burg fans.
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission is urging Phillipsburg High School football fans to use the 13th Street exit to get back onto Route 22 following Thursday's Easton/Phillipsburg game.
The DRJTBC said in a news release that it hopes Stateliner fans will consider the exit as an alternative to their normal route—the Second and Bushkill streets on-ramp—which is being shut down until next month.
The commission notes that while the other downtown ramp at Larry Holmes Drive will be open, it is likely due to be clogged with increased traffic due to holiday commuters, the game, and the Bushkill Street ramp closure.
The commission has prepared a map to help drivers find their way to the 13th Street exit.
