Easton Retailers Hoping People Will Shop Local

You're not likely to find people camped outside the stores in downtown Easton on Black Friday, waiting to snatch up the hottest toy or latest gadget.

That's not really the point. 

These stores are selling the unique, the homemade, the hard-to-find or didn't-know-you wanted. 

And this year, a lot of them are banded together, part of the American Express-sponsored Small Business Saturday campaign.

"Why would you want to go to the mall, where it's all the same thing," said Lisa Patino of Panache Hair Designers, who's overseeing the campaign.

The stores range from downtown institutions like the Carmelcorn Shop and the Quadrant to newcomers such as RE:find and T's Green Boutique
