Help Easton Hire a New School Superintendent

The Easton Area School Board is setting up a committee to help screen candidates for the district superintendent's job.

Do you want to have a say in who becomes the Easton Area School District's new superintendent?

Then reach out to the school board, which is looking for eight to 10 district residents to serve on a committee to screen candidates for the job.

The board voted earlier this year not to renew the contract of Susan McGinley, who has served as superintendent since 2008. Her term ends at the end of the school year. The board hasn't yet interviewed candidates.

Anyone interested in sitting on the committee is asked to submit the following information to eastonsuperintendent@kingspry.com:

  • Name
  • Occupation
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address
  • A short letter explaining why you want to serve on the committee.

The board is expected to post this information later today on its website, as well as a survey asking community members what qualities they'd like to see in a superintendent.
