Easton Schools Closed Due to Hurricane Sandy

No classes Monday for Easton Area School District students as storm approaches.

The Easton Area School District -- as well as every other local school -- has canceled classes Monday for its students due to the approach of Hurricane Sandy.

The Wilson Area School District, Notre Dame High School, St. Jane Elementary, Lafayette College and Phillipsburg schools were also closed.

Meanwhile, the city of Easton says trash collection will continue on its normal schedule for Monday, but will be postponed Tuesday. City officials will decide Monday whether to keep Wednesday as Easton's trick-or-treat night.
