Easton School Board Picks New Leaders, Welcomes New Members

Frank Pintabone becomes new president of Easton Area School Board.

The Easton Area School Board will start the new year with new leadership.

The board unanimously elected Frank Pintabone as its new president at its Tuesday night reorganization meeting.

Pintabone, of Easton's South Side, has been a board member since 2011. He replaces Robert Fehnel, who had served as president for the last two years.

The board had a little more trouble picking a vice-president, with members nominating Fehnel and Kerri Leonard-Ellison. Neither had enough votes to pass the first ballot, so board members had to vote several times before finally choosing Leonard-Ellison, a veteran board member from Forks Township.

Meanwhile, the board welcomed four new members. Michelle Price, Robert Obey, Matt Monahon and Dominick Buscemi were all elected in November and took the oath of office along with returning member Baron Vanderberg.
