Vice President Joe Biden to Speak at Lafayette

Biden will give a talk as part of the college's Lives of Liberty lecture series.

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will speak at Lafayette College next month.

According to a news release from the school, Biden will give an address at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at the Kirby Sports Center. The event is free, but tickets will be required. The college will offer more information on tickets closer to the event.

Biden's visit lands on the day after Pennsylvania's primary election. The vice president is the second major political figure to visit Lafayette in the last 12 months, following an address late .

Biden war born in Scranton, and represented Delaware in the U.S. for 36 years before being elected vice president.

"He continues to draw on his vast foreign policy experience, advising the President on a multitude of international issues and representing our country to many regions of the world," the news release says.

The Biden speech is part of Lafayette's Lives of Liberty Lecture series, held each school year since 2007-2008, and featuring "accomplished individuals whose lives embody the ideals of the Marquis de Lafayette in the world today."
