Reminder: Mayoral Candidates Debate Tonight at State Theatre

The men running for mayor in Easton and Phillipsburg face off, starting at 7 p.m.

We , but just to remind you: candidates for mayor in Easton and Phillipsburg will debate this evening at Easton's State Theatre.

"The Debate at the State" will allow Easton , a Democrat, and Republican challenger to ask questions of each other, and answer questions from editor and reporters at the Express-Times.

Their debate begins at 8 p.m. Prior to that, three candidates for mayor in Phillipsburg --Republican  incumbent Harry Wyant and challengers Richard Halley, a Democrat and Todd Tersignie, an independent -- will debate at 7 p.m.

The Phillipsburg debate could get interesting, due to a story that emerged today in the Express-Times about Tersingie's supporters getting an inaccurate letter from a fake gay advocacy group, claiming the candidate is gay.

The debates are open to the public, and no tickets are required.
