Easton Planning Director Gets New Job

Becky Bradley will become head of Lehigh Valley Planning Commission starting August 1.

Easton Planning and Codes Director Becky Bradley has been named new executive director of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission.

Commissioner's approved her appointment Thursday night, according to an LVPC news release. She will start August 1, and "brings experience in grant writing, fund management, project planning and implementation of over $36 million in grant funding for various projects."

Bradley became Easton's planning director in 2005. During that time, she oversaw projects ranging from the Silk Mill redevelopment to the intermodal unit to the CVS center on the South Side.

"She'll be difficult to replace, because her professional training is in both planning and design," Mayor Sal Panto said Friday.

Whoever replaces her, he said, will hopefully have her training, "and the passion she had for the city of Easton."

Before coming to Easton, she worked as senior planner for the Delware County planning department.
