Woman Stabbed in Larry Holmes Restaurant Lot

A 35-year-old unidentified woman was stabbed multiple times in parking lot of Champ's Corner in Easton early Sunday.

Easton police are investigating the stabbing of a 35-year-old woman early Sunday in the parking lot of Champ's Corner restaurant.

The unidentified woman was stabbed multiple times shortly after 2 a.m., police said in a press release.

The woman was being treated for her injuries at a local hopsital, although police did not specify which one.

Police said the stabbing was not a random act. Investigators said they are looking for a gray Nissan Altima that was spotted near the scene of the stabbing to see if there is any connection.

The restaurant is owned by former heavyweight boxing champion Larry Holmes.

In 2006, a man was killed in the parking lot of the restaurant. Marcellus Macduffie, 29, was shot to death after celebrating his birthday. A jury convicted another Easton man, Andrew Paschal, of his murder in 2007.
