An Easton woman hit her boyfriend in the head with a glass crucifix during an argument over him speaking to an ex-girlfriend on the telephone, police said.
Cynthia Smith, 47, of 248 Taylor Ave., was charged with domestic violence simple assault and harassment as a result of the incident, which occurred at a little before 3 a.m. Monday, according to Easton police.
The boyfriend suffered a cut above his right eyebrow, along with bruising and swelling, according to the arrest affidavit. He refused medical treatment.
Smith told police about the argument and that she threw “an object” at her boyfriend when she became upset, the affidavit said.
Smith was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Nancy Matos-Gonzalez of Bethlehem and later released on 10 percent of $5,000 bail.
