Woman Charged After Bushkill Street Raid

Barbara McNeil accused of selling heroin from West Ward home.

Easton police say a West Ward woman is facing drug charges following a months-long investigation into heroin dealing and gang activity at a Bushkill Street home.

Officers from the city's Special Response Team and Vice/Narcotics unit served a search warrant Friday morning at 679 Bushkill St.

One of the residents, Barbara McNeil, 31, will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and delivery of heroin. Police had an existing warrant for her on a false identification charge.

Another man, Sean Bookman, 25, will be cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana.

According to police, there were six children, ages 1 to 16, in the home at the time of the raid. There were turned over to family members.

One member of the SRU was injured in a fall during the search, but was treated at the scene.

Police say investigators had hoped the search would lead to information about a recent shooting.
