A Wilson man brandished a 6-inch-long kitchen knife and threatened another man who was visiting his girlfriend at their home on Tuesday, police said.
Robert J. Hill, 27, of S. 23rd Street in the borough arrived at the home “in an agitated state,” according to what the girlfriend and the other man told police.
There was then a scuffle between Hill and the other man, during which Hill grabbed the knife from a butcher block caddy and held it briefly before the girlfriend could take it from him, an affidavit said.
The other man then wrestled Hill to the floor and held him there until police arrived, according to the court record.
Hill was charged with terroristic threats and harassment and arraigned before on-duty District Judge Roy Manwaring of Bethlehem. He was released on $15,000 unsecured bail, under condition that he not return to the home that he shared with his girlfriend, according to court papers.
