Wilson Girl Chased Home By Stranger, Police Say

Third Easton-area child luring incident this week reported in Wilson.

In the third area child-luring incident this week, Wilson police are looking for a man who tried to lure an 11-year-old girl and then tried to chase her home Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the man approached the girl around 4:30 p.m. near 21st Street and Ealer Avenue, and asked for help in finding a lost dog.

The girl refused and ran for her home and the man chased after her but gave up. Police say the girl didn't know which way the man had gone, but said he'd been standing next to a white van before their encounter.

She said the man was black and wearing black pants and shoes, but had no other description. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Marc Crisfulli at 610-258-8542, or the main police number at 610-258-8746.

This is the third child-luring incident in the Easton area this week. On Sunday in Wilson, a man in a van tried to talk a 9-year-old girl into coming with him.

Earlier that day, another man—driving a different pick-up and with a different description—tried to get a 13-year-old girl in Easton into his truck.
