Wilson Boy Beaten and Robbed

Police are seeking two teenagers in strong-arm robbery on 19th Street.

Police in Wilson are looking for two teenagers who attacked and robbed another boy along 19th Street Monday afternoon.

According to police, the boy, a Wilson resident, was walking near 19th and Butler streets around 4:45 p.m. when two teens approached him. One of them grabbed his backpack and ran off.

Police say the victim chased after the thief and caught up with him at 19th and Filbert streets. At that point, the thief punched the boy in the face several times. During the attack, his accomplice picked up the backpack and ran off, heading east on Butler Street. The attacker ran away as well, heading north on S. 19th Street.

According to police, the robber who punched the boy was white, 16-17 years old, with light facial hair, piercings in his ears, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The other teenager was a black male, also between 16 and 17, with short black hair, wearing a gray hoodie and jeans.

Police say the victim refused medical treatment. The backpack is valued at $35, and it wasn't clear what the boy had inside. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Christian Meehan at 610-258-8542.
