Where is Jared Alvin? Police Still Seeking Accused Teen Shooter

Police think suspect in weekend robbery/shooting is in Wilson.

Easton police are still searching for Jared Alvin Jr., an 18-year-old with possible gang ties who is suspected of shooting a man in the neck over the weekend in the city's West Ward.

According to the Express-Times, police think Alvin is in the Easton area, possibly in the borough of Wilson. 

He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, recklessly endangering another person and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and robbery. 

According to police,  the investigation began when an officer was flagged down Saturday around 11:28 p.m. by a man who told them he'd been shot.

Police say the man was shot near Warren and Elm streets. He was hospitalized, but is expected to survive his injuries.

Police are looking for a second suspect: a black man, age 20-23, with short hair, wearing a dark “puffy” coat, blue jeans and a backward hat.   

Alvin, who police say has gang ties, is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who knows where he is should call 911 immediately.
