Video Game Shooter Gets Prison Term

Dashawn Cosme gets 3-6 years in prison for wounding two men earlier this year.

An Easton man who shot two other men in an apparent argument over a video game will spend 3-6 years in prison, according to published reports.

Dashawn Cosme, 19, pleaded guilty Thursday in Northampton County Court to two counts of aggravated assault, the Morning Call reports. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors withdrew attempted homicide charges.

The Express-Times said the shooting was the end result of a chain of events that began with an argument over a video game system March 25 at a home in Neston Heights.

Cosme had been identified as a suspect soon after the shooting, and was ultimately arrested at a home on the South Side in August.
