Driver May Have Witnessed Wilson Robbery, Police Say

Wilson police looking for two men who robbed two people early Friday.

Wilson police say two people were robbed and assaulted early Friday in the borough, and are hoping someone parked nearby may have witnessed the crime.

According to police, the pair was walking on the 100 block of S. 15th Street around 12:45 a.m. when they were approached by two men.

One of the robbers struck one victim in the head with a pistol, and then robbed both people. The robbers then ran off into Easton on Lehigh Street. Fifteenth Street marks the dividing line between Wilson and Easton.

Police say the robbers were both black men, between 20 and 28. Both were between 6-feet and 6-feet-2, wearing winter coats with hoods. One of them wore a mask.

According to police there was a silver car double-parked at 15th and Lehigh streets at the time of the robbery. Police say they don't think anyone in the car was connected to the crime, but they might be witnesses.

They, or anyone with information, are asked to contact Det. Marc Crisafulli at 610-258-8746.
