Two Men Charged in Easton Drug Raid

Easton police arrest two men following South Side drug raid Thursday morning.

Two men were jailed Thursday following a drug raid on Easton's South Side.

According to court records, Jovanny Valdez, 22, and Carlos Rios, Jr. 25, both of 214 W. Nesquehoning St., were charged with possession of a controlled substance after police found marijuana and cocaine during their search.

Rios is also facing theft and weapons possession charges, because police say they found a gun stolen in New Jersey among his things. According to the Morning Call, police found another gun that may have been last month.

The newspaper says the arrests were part of a larger operation Thursday, which targeted homes tied to the Bloods street gang.
