'Suspicious' Gas Workers Spotted on South Side, Police Say

Easton police ask residents to be cautious about people claiming to be utility workers.

Easton police are asking residents to be on the lookout for suspicious people claiming to be UGI workers.

Police say people were spotted Sunday in the 700 block of Centre Street, going door-to-door and asking residents about changing their utility companies.

The workers had no credentials, and police say they were unable to confirm what company they worked for.

Police ask residents not to give out information or allow people without ID into their homes, and to call 911 immediately if they see anything suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Matthew Rush at 610-250-6639.
