Luckily, no one was hurt.

But a lot of people were left angry and scared in the days that followed.

"This is awful. It's scary," a neighbor, who wanted to stay anonymous told the Express-Times. "When I moved into this neighborhood, it was so nice."

Those sentiments were echoed by Easton Patch readers, many of whom seemed to blame the shooting on its setting, the strip club Spanky's Easton.

"What a shame ... And so many kids have to walk past a place like that," one commenter said.

Violence at nightspots like this can be bad for business. Easton threatened to take action against downtown bar Eddie G's earlier this year after a deadly shooting, but the bar decided to close on its own.

According to police, the Wilson shooting happened around 12:42 a.m. Sunday and involved two groups of men.

Police say one group of men had a problem inside the club and left. They began firing at another group of men that was on 17th Street. The men on 17th Street began firing back, then ran away, with the group from the parking lot chasing them in a white SUV.

Police say 17 shell casings from large and small caliber handguns were found, although no injuries have been reported.

Police had no descriptions other than that the group of men on 17th street was made up of four or five black men.

Anyone with information can call police at 610-258-8542.

The parking lot of the club, under its former moniker C.R. Fanny's, was the site of a homicide in 2006.
