Smoke Grenade Found, Bomb Squad Called

Device found in South Side, brought downtown.

Bethlehem's bomb squad was called into Easton Tuesday afternoon to dispose of a suspicious device that turned out to be a smoke grenade.

According to news reports, the device was brought downtown by a code enforcement officer, who notified police at around 4:20 p.m.

The Bethlehem bomb squad came to dispose of the device, which turned out to be a smoke grenade.
