was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after the school received a bomb threat.
It was the in as many days. And like the threat that emptied the Palmer Township school on Tuesday, it appeared to be a hoax.
According to a district news alert, the school was evacuated at 1:25 p.m. due to the threat. Palmer Township police and firefighters responded, and a township police dog sniffed for bombs, finding nothing. Students and staff members returned to school about 30 minutes after the evacuation.
Also on Wednesday, the district reported that a man on Easton's South Side attempted to rob a student.
According to the district, the student said he was walking near Packer and Berwick streets when a man wearing a ski mask approached him as he was walking to his bus. The student told school officials the man had a gun. The incident happened at 6:50 a.m.
