Raid Finds $2,500 in Heroin, Police Say

Jaronzia Fletcher, 39, faces drug possession/delivery charges after Spruce Street raid.

Easton police say the search of a Spruce Street home Thursday morning turned up $2,500 worth of heroin.

According to police, the raid at 1227 Spruce St. was the result of an investigation that began in September and led to the arrest of 39-year-old Jaronzia Fletcher.

Police say the city's vice and special response units served a search warrant on the property at 6 a.m. and uncovered the heroin and $100 worth of crack.

He was arraigned before District Judge Richard Yetter in Wilson on possession with intent to deliver charges, and sent to Northampton County Prison after failing to come up with $65,000 bail.

This was the second raid at the property in the last year. Last October, police arrested two men on drug charges at 1227 Spruce St. in an investigation that was prompted by complaints from neighbors.
