Police Seek Man, Car in Sixth Street Homicide

George Humbert, 54, was found dead Saturday.

Easton police are looking for a man and a car that could be connected to a weekend homicide.

Lt. Scott Casterline said Monday a grey or silver sedan was seen circling the block of South Sixth Street where George Humbert, 54, was found dead on .

In that car was a black man with dreadlocks, Casterline said. He said the dreadlocked man was not the driver of the car, and at least one other person was inside the sedan.

Casterline said the car was seen circling the block -- driving along South Sixth, Ferry and Walnut streets -- several times between 5 and 5:30 a.m. Saturday. He said police do not yet know the make and model of the car, or how old it was.

Humbert was found dead just before 9 a.m. in his apartment at 25 S. Sixth St. Police have not released his cause of death, but Northampton County Coroner Zach Lysek has ruled it a . Lysek said Sunday he was holding off on releasing the cause of death to "preserve the integrity of the investigation."
