Police Raid Apartment on Easton/Wilson Border

Two women facing marijuana charges in Friday morning police raid.

Easton and Wilson police raided a Wilson apartment building Friday morning as part of a investigation into crack sales in both communities.

According to Easton police, the raid happened around 8:30 p.m. at 116 N. 15th St., Apt. A.

Police say the raid was part of a months-long investigation by the Easton vice unit, the Northampton County Drug Task Force and Wilson police.

Police arrested two women during the raid: Bernice Beasely, 47, and Angela Alvin, 34.

They will be charged via summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana, but were released.

Police said their investigation is continuing, looking at other people connected to the residence, but did not indicate whether drugs were recovered during Friday's raid.

Police in Wilson conducted a raid on a meth lab in the borough earlier this year.
