Police: Gunman Robs Smokes To Go Shop

Easton police are looking for a man who held up a cigarette store Wednesday morning.

Easton police are searching for a man who robbed a city cigarette store at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

According to police, the man used a dark-colored automatic handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the Smokes to Go store at 350 Larry Holmes Drive.

The man drove away in a dark colored -- possibly blue -- GMC Envoy. He may have headed over the Third Street bridge toward the South Side. Police say the man also appeared to walk with an unusual gait.

Police say the robber is a black man in his 30s, 5-feet-8 with an average build and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants with a white stripe, and sneakers.

Anyone with information on the robber or his vehicle is asked to call police at 610-250-6667 or 610-759-2200.
