An Easton man is accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend in the face and stealing her iPhone outside the CVS pharmacy in Wilson early Friday, according to court records.
William Robert Gray, 36, of 136 Bushkill St., is facing a count of felony robbery as well as charges of simple assault, theft and harassment.
In the criminal complaint, police allege that Gray hit Taslimah Baker in the face outside the CVS at 1500 Northampton St. The complaint did not specify whether the hit was a punch or a smack, but it did say that the contact caused Baker’s head to snap back and strike a brick wall.
Baker told police that the phone was valued at about $100.
Wilson police confirmed Baker’s account of events with a surveillance video of the outside of the store.
Gray was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Nancy Matos-Gonzalez of Bethlehem and committed to Northampton County Prison after failing to post $30,000 bail.
