Kenneth Ennis of South Side Easton charged with cashing forged checks in Palmer Township.

An Easton man is the latest person charged in a check forgery scheme involving a Palmer Township business.

Kenneth Ennis, 23, whose last known address was on the 200 block of W. Nesquehoning Street, was charged Wednesday with theft, forgery and receiving stolen property.

According to court records, officials at Magnetic Windings alerted Palmer police in April that several counterfeit checks had been cashed using a company account.

But the account and routing numbers match those of Magnetic Windings' payroll account with a local PNC Bank.
