Passed-Out Man Had Cocaine in His Lap, Police Say

Easton police say Monroe County man had cocaine and crack in his car.

Easton police say a Monroe County man was found passed out in his car with cocaine in his lap late Sunday.

Brian Peters, 34, of Tannersville is charged with driving while under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, Peters was found slumped in his idling car in the 300 block of S. Fifth Street just after 11 p.m.

In his lap was a decorative license plate, covered in cocaine. When Peters regained consciousness, he asked police to get his wallet from his center console. When they did, they allegedly found a bag of crack cocaine.

Police say Peters was processed at the Northampton County DUI Center, and will be charged via summons.
