Officer Hurt by Bar Patron, Police Say
West Easton man charged with assault after allegedly fighting with police.
A West Easton man is accused of punching a fellow patron at Drinky’s on Centre Square and then fighting with the Easton police officers who ultimately detained him early Sunday morning, according to court papers.
Steven Matthew Repsher, 24, of 91 Main St., caused “significant” injuries to Easton Officer Eric Siegfried’s ankle and finger when he fought him and other officers who were arresting him in the southeast quadrant of Centre Square, according to the arrest warrant.
Easton police responded to Drinky’s at about 1 a.m. after Repsher allegedly punched another patron in the face, causing a laceration, court papers say.

Repsher was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and two counts of simple assault. He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro of Bethlehem and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
