Mushrooms, Heroin Found During Raid, Police Say

Easton police raid three West Ward homes in response to neighbor complaints.

Easton police say they found heroin and psilocybin mushrooms at one of three homes raided Friday morning.

The police vice/narcotics unit and special response unit teamed up with the state police's Special Emergency Response Team to serve search warrants at 1448 Elm St., 1418 Spruce St. and 1150 Washington St.

Police say the searches were part of an investigation into drug sales, prompted by complaints from neighbors.

Three men are facing charges:

  • James Duckworth, 28, was arrested at the Washington Street address, and will be charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, possession with the intent to deliver  psilocybin mushrooms and manufacture of  psilocybin mushrooms. Police found a mushroom grow at the residence, along with $3,000 worth of mushrooms and $2,000 worth of heroin.
  • Michael Miller, 29, was arrested at the Elm Street residence, and will be charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
  • James Pokojni, Jr. 35, was arrested at the Spruce Street address, and will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police had gone looking for a meth lab at this address, but none was found.
Duckworth is scheduled to be arraigned later today. The other men will be charged via summons.
